What you'll undoubtedly notice is how regrettably small the amount of memorable moments is compared to that of the moments which are now completely evaporated from your memory, never to return. But, if you recall, there is likely at least one vivid picture in your mind of a precious moment which, against all odds, will endure for the rest of your life. This is a
bright spot, a brief but precious moment in your life wherein something changed and won't ever go back: a brilliant realization, a curative smile from a friend, those few enlightening lines in your favorite movie, a serendipitous discovery in a moment of wandering, the ever-present words of wisdom from a grandparent when you were six.
